Wool  fairy art dolls are undoubtedly a very different kind of fairy. For as long as I can remember, mysterious and magical fairy tales inspired my imagination.

Do they exist? Or are they indeed just fabricated out of stories from a long time ago? However, does it even matter, be it as it may, their beauty is captivating in every sense.

Even though you might not see them as such with your own eyes. But my imagination and the reflection of their spirit is in every wool  fairy art doll I create.

Overall, they represent:

Friendship, Nature, Love. Kindness, Memories, Hope, Good Luck, Satisfaction, Affection, Loyalty and subsequently so much more.

Without a doubt, the first wool felted art dolls I created looked very different to todays. Up to the present time I improved and adopted other techniques to bring them to where they are today.

How are they made?

The wool fairy art doll’s body structure is made with a strong wire, with the result that all limbs are movable.

I use only the finest merino wool, of course mulesing free.

On account that the whole fairy is wet felted, therefore her face is too. In fact, the features on her face are stitched and NOT needle felted as many believe.

On condition that I am happy with the overall look and feel of my fairy she will  specifically get a dress made out of felted pure wool, ribbons and tulle that will fit her.

Her shoes and hat will similarly match her final outfit.

Occasionally she will also choose a handbag, with the promise of a note to you from her in it.
